All Time Best: Emotional Movie Moment
I write a lot about action movies and big summer blockbusters so for this edition of All Time Best, I thought I’d bring the emotional side of film to the forefront.
Mr. Holland’s Opus

A fantastic movie that depicts the entire career of a music teacher who is passionate about his own music.
As the movie progresses, life continues to derail his dreams of producing his own symphony yet little does he realize the enormous impact he has on the lives of his students and deaf son Cole.
This movie got to me the first time I saw it and continues to do so to this day.
Yes. I’m freely admitting that tears fall when I watch this movie. Proof that even the most die hard action fans can cry.
When selecting my All Time Best Emotional Movie Moment, I immediately thought about the scene embedded below.
As a single clip it doesn’t have the same power or emotional effect but when you see it during the movie itself it’s incredibly touching.
What’s your favorite emotional movie scene?

Hey Jay…I always get choked up at nearing the end of “A Beautiful Mind”…when John gets all the pens from the faculty and then wins the pulitzer prize. So moving!
That’s definitely a great pick as well!
