I love a good lazy day movie.

It really is a fantastic way to spend a Rainy Sunday afternoon.

I’m pretty happy with this week’s pick.

Sideways

Here is a movie that came out of no where for me.  I remember buying it very cheap at t blockbuster video sale just because of the buzz it received.

It didn’t take long before I understood why it had garnered so much attention throughout the awards season.

Sideways is a brilliantly written drama that’s equal parts funny and touching.

Paul Giamatti is outstanding.

Scratch that.  The entire cast is incredible in this movie.

I also love how this film is edited. It’s nice to see different styles every now and then.  All the split screens work perfectly here.

I just wished I was a fan of wine.  I’m pretty sure I would appreciate this movie more if I did but that says a lot about how great Sideways is.
