The Final Rainy Sunday: The Beauty Of Lazy Day Movies

Rainy Sundays was one of the first features I created for this blog.

It was about appreciated those lazy days when you put on your favorite movies and escape.

Who doesn’t love a good Sunday afternoon indoors watching movies?

Personally, my ideal Rainy Sunday includes a good drama, a comforter, a massive sandwich or pizza and some form of candy.  It’s even better when there’s enough time to sneak in a double feature.

What movies do you love to watch on rainy days?

After more than 30 picks, I’ve decided to move on so this will be the FINAL Rainy Sunday post.

Below you’ll find the complete Rainy Sunday Series.

Perhaps, I’ll resurrect the feature someday but I think I’ve made my point.  There’s nothing like a good movie on a lazy day.

Rainy Sundays: Man On Fire

Movies to watch on a lazy day: Man On Fire

With the release of Tony Scott’s Unstoppable starring Denzel Washington getting a lot of air time on my screen, I thought it would be great to revisit another amazing film from the legendary team.

Man On Fire

Man On Fire Movie

I was once roommates with my business partner Eric.  Both of us have fairly large DVD collections.  Man On Fire was a movie he owned that I had never seen.

Years later, I’m still borrowing that DVD on a regular basis.

Man On Fire is an awesome movie if you love revenge stories. Especially emotional revenge story.  Some people like their thrillers simpler but the connection between Denzel and Dakota Fanning’s characters make this movie great.

That’s why I think it’s a great movie to watch on a lazy day.  It’s not just an ordinary revenge story.  It’s as complex as I’ve ever seen with incredible performances.

You’ll be hooked from the beginning and stunned by the end.

If you haven’t seen Man On Fire then I’m extremely proud to have recommended it today.

Find this movie.  Watch it and enjoy your Rainy Sunday afternoon.

Tony Scott's Unstoppable looks awesome

Tony Scott + Denzel Washington = Fantastic in my books.

Personally, I think Man On Fire is a phenomenal movie.  Beyond fantastic some might say.

Recently, I caught the trailer for their new collaboration:

Unstoppable

This movie has ‘fun’ written all over it.  You know instantly with this team of filmmakers that you will get suspense and emotion.

Simply put: This movie looks like one hell of a ride!

Check out the trailer below.

I’m intrigued to say the least!
